Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) is often misunderstood as simply being about anxiety or liking things neat and organized—but it’s so much more than that. OCD involves unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental rituals (compulsions) that are aimed at reducing distress. These thoughts can feel disturbing, confusing, or even shameful—but they are not a reflection of who you are.

You are not your OCD thoughts.

At Clarity & Control Counseling, we provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to help you understand your experience and begin to separate your identity from the disorder. With the right tools and support, it’s possible to reduce the grip OCD has on your life and build a healthier, more empowered relationship with your mind.
